Taxis are widely available throughout Paris and can be hailed on the street, booked via apps, or arranged in advance. Ride-hailing services such as Uber operate seamlessly across the city and are often the easiest option late at night or with luggage.

Getting Around Paris

Public Transport

The metro, buses, trams and RER trains cover the entire city and its surroundings. Tickets can be purchased directly at metro stations or via mobile apps such as RATP or Citymapper, which are highly recommended for route planning.

 

For short stays, single tickets or day passes are usually sufficient. For longer stays, travel passes offering unlimited journeys can be more convenient.
